hit the ground running

Ok so here's a story i think of ever so often... when i was about eleven, we went to visit my fam in east texas. my cousin who was about my age also, had a horse so we both jumped on and took off on a trail through the woods (i of course completely unfamiliar with horses). the trail came to a bit of an incline so the horse picked up pace suddenly causing us to fall off, hitting the ground hard. however, as we fell to the ground the horse took off without us. I was ready to take my time getting back up to go after it as i was in pain from the fall - my body was aching all over. but not my couson. She shot up and took off running after that horse. i didnt have time to think any more about my pain because i had no choice but to follow her example and basically hit the ground running after the run away horse. my cousin was able to catch her horse and we walked it home. it still amazes me how she jumped right up from the fall and took off, and how i had to follow her quick example or be left behind lost in the woods.

battle

it makes sense that the battle would be the hardest right before the victory. that would be when you are the most tired... mentally, physically, spiritually.. so when you feel your weakest, be encouraged the end is nearing. ive come too far, to give up now !

hmmm can you imagine - giving your life, so that your friends might live..? its hard to... but it also makes me think of sacrificing my pride, etc.. in order to share my testimony with others. Or being a witness, that they might have the eternal life God offers to all. I pray that i can be brave enough in the face of questions - no matter where i am or what im doing, that others may LIVE.

THE LIFE

as i sat in lady's conference fri night - i looked over the beautiful crowd of godly women and was reassured: THIS IS THE LIFE FOR ME. There is no other way of life worth living if its not living for God. I am so thankful my Mom invited Amanda and I to join her and my Aunt Donna at ladys conference in Lufkin (she is the most generous/thoughtful Mom EVER and i love her with all my heart). IT WAS AWESOME. I received so much renewing strength from God and we rejoiced and danced in His presence Sat morning before heading home. AMAZING. LOVED IT. NO OTHER WAY TO LIVE.

STAND STRONG

Sometimes its a cold, harsh world. Seems like some that are closest to you know how to be the meanest... but i want to say a few words to encourage and remind, and that is to stand strong in the face of adversity, or your advisary. One of my favorite sayings is: Never give up. Never give up. Never give up. Face the challange head on, Eye to Eye and keep your back strait and your head high (not your nose). Never back down. Kill them with kindness (sincerely) as they say. I may be meek but that in no way means I will ever be weak. IF GOD BE FOR US, NO ONE can be against us. I am not perfect but I know that my God is and I can definatly trust in what His Word says. Stand strong with sincerity. Stand strong with love. God will be standing with us.

what Easter's really all about..

here's to you Cadbury! the yummiest, chocolaty eggiest, down right bestest candy the world over. What would Easter be without you? well i suppose it would still be a decent holiday... BUT it would definately not be.. as yummy! I love this chocolate egg.
